This model is a precision replica of Team Lotus's innovative Type 49, which made its debut during race 3 of the 1967 Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix, winning pole position, the fastest lap, and the championship. Overall length: approximately 350 mm. Low, slim, and compact shape like the real car. It uses metal coil springs around the legs and operates with the same mechanism as in the real car. The DFV engine has precise detailing with various pipes and wiring. The steering wheel and front axle are locked.

This kit faithfully reproduces the innovation of the Type 49, which utilizes a stressed member mounting method, wherein the Ford Cosworth DFV engine is mounted directly onto the rear monocoque bulkhead and is used as a structural material of the chassis. Additionally, the inclusion of photo-etched parts allows for added details such as the brake disc and radiator, for a more realistic finish. We accept returns up to 60 days after the item arrives.
